Denver Families for Public Schools and RootED Denver have united

Denver Families for Public Schools and RootED Denver have come together as one organization! As of January 2025, we are continuing our work under the name Denver Families for Public Schools. Together, we will build on our collective strengths to deepen our commitment to ensuring high-quality public schools that serve all families in Denver.

Our core work will continue:

Community Engagement & Mobilization

Listening to the community, elevating their vision for public education and taking action to achieve their goals

Partnering with the community to identify, train and engage the next generation of diverse leaders who are committed to reimagining public education in Denver.

Investing in schools, organizations and initiatives that respond to the community’s demand for high-quality education options in every neighborhood.

Why We’ve Joined Forces

Our decision to unite is rooted in a history of shared work and vision for public education in Denver. By combining the grassroots organizing and leadership development of Denver Families for Public Schools with RootED’s community-driven partnership and investment work in DPS schools, we’ll increase our ability to advocate for equitable, high-quality public schools that are responsive to the needs of Denver’s diverse communities.

Our Shared Vision

Denver Families for Public Schools and RootED are united by a belief that every child in Denver deserves access to an exceptional public education. We are committed to working alongside families to ensure that high-quality public school options exist in every neighborhood.
