Matthew Telles (he/him/él) was born and raised in far Northeast Denver and is proud to now serve the school communities he grew up in as a Community Organizer with Denver Families for Public Schools. He works to support local families, educators, and students by offering opportunities to elevate their voices in civic discussions concerning their communities.
As a founding charter alumni and first-generation college student, Matthew understands the difficulties of getting to college, and perhaps more importantly, through college. He has worked tirelessly to support other students on this path, and believes all students deserve an equitable and accessible opportunity for the post-secondary credentials of their choice. His work is inspired by his family and the Montbello and Green Valley Ranch communities.
