Maria is a passionate parent volunteer in her children’s schools and community. Her children motivate her to understand how the systems work so she can better support their education.
Maria’s children have attended Denver Public Schools in southwest Denver and she feels a close connection to this community. Through her advocacy, she hopes to inspire more parents to be involved in their children’s education. Maria wants them to know who the teachers, staff, and other personnel are at their schools so they can easily advocate for their children’s needs.
