Lyla Munoz-Vigil is an 18-year-old who graduated from North High School in 2024. During Lyla’s high school career she moved to two different high schools in search of the right education. During her senior year, Lyla didn’t feel that her school was meeting her needs to pursue a career within the arts. She decided to transfer to North High School where she found the education she was looking for.
Lyla’s motivation to be an advocate for public education comes from her own struggle to obtain the best education for herself. She now has the passion for wanting to see other DPS students’ educational needs be met so they succeed. Lyla hopes to use her voice to effectively shape better educational structures that meet the needs of all DPS students.
