Larry Blackshear is a passionate advocate for increasing student well-being and accelerating outcomes through unique and meaningful community-driven policy changes. In his most recent role, Larry served as the Colorado Department of Education’s first-ever youth engagement specialist where he laid the groundwork for the department’s first-ever Youth Advisory Council. By coupling his experience there with his background in early childhood, kindergarten-through-12th-grade, and higher education policy, Larry has a wealth of knowledge that he hopes will bring meaningful and systemic changes to education in Colorado.
