Kristi Waters is a third-generation Colorado native and an alumna of John F. Kennedy High School in the Denver Public Schools system. Her family lives in north and southwest Denver, and she has four children who have attended DPS schools. With 19 years of service in DPS, Kristi is a firm advocate for providing children with better and more opportunities than previous generations. She emphasizes the importance of parents actively seeking out the best education and opportunities for their children by educating themselves on available resources.
Having gained insights from her parents and her experiences as a student, a mother and an employee, Kristi has witnessed the evolution of DPS over the years. As a dedicated community member of southwest Denver, she is passionate about the area and is committed to helping DPS grow to better support this part of the city.
