Felipe Vieyra (he/him/él) is originally from Morelia, Michoacan Mexico. He was brought to the U.S. undocumented and grew up in the Front Range. He is the first of his family to graduate from public schools and to have graduated from college, having attended the University of Denver. Felipe has over a decade of experience in advocacy and organizing. He has organized in almost every neighborhood in DPS, working alongside families and school staff to advocate for great schools for all kids, regardless of background. As a Denver Families’ Director of Programs and Advocacy, Felipe works with families, educators, and community members throughout Denver to build the leadership of families, community members, and school staff so that they too can have a seat at the table when it comes to decisions that impact our public schools.
