Anabell is the proud parent of her only son Matthew Hernandez, a sixth-grader who currently attends DSST Cedar in Denver Public Schools. Annabell is originally from Mexico and moved to the United States when she was 18. She loves being a mom and wife.
Annabell believes that every child deserves a quality education and is a passionate advocate.That has inspired her to join two committees in DPS. Annabell has volunteered for her son’s schools since he was a pre-kindergarten student, serving on parent committees. She currently serves on the Falcons Family Committee and multilingual families groups at DSST Cedar Campus. She is also a current DAC member for DPS.
