Lorena is a DPS parent to three kids who went to different schools within DPS. Her main motivation to be an advocate for public education is her kids. She wants to ensure they receive a high-quality education and that schools and teachers really value their students. Lorena represents parents and the Southwest Denver community as she is deeply involved and volunteers her time with different organizations and schools.<\/p>\n
Through her advocacy, Lorena hopes to improve teacher retention because she sees the student-to-teacher relationship as the most important relationship in education.
