Lesley Del Rio (she/her) is a proud alumna of Denver Public Schools and a first-generation college graduate from the Westwood neighborhood of Denver. With deep roots in her community, Lesley is dedicated to advancing equity and access for underserved populations. She brings extensive leadership and advocacy experience, serving as a Parent Advisor for the Aspen Institute, co-chair of the Denver Health Community Advisory Panel, a 2024 Piton Leadership Fellow, and a participant in the Ednium Deep Dive cohort. Lesley also worked as Program Coordinator at RootED and will expand her experience to leadership development work at Denver Families.
As a former DPS student and now as a parent, Lesley is passionate about education equity. She works tirelessly to advocate for policies and initiatives that ensure all students have access to high-quality education opportunities.
